The Sandhill Crane Bed and breakfast has instituted the following policies and practices to ensure all of our guests have an enjoyable, relaxing and safe stay.
Reservation Policies Reservations can be made via our online reservation system, by phone or by contacting us from other bed and breakfast-specific sites on the web.
Cancellation/Reservation Change Policies We are a small inn with a limited number of rooms. We never overbook our rooms. When you make a reservation for a room that room becomes unavailable for the duration of your reservation. To continue with our practice of not charging a non refundable room deposit upon reservation (during low season) we have instituted the following Cancellation/Reservation Change Resulting in a Reduce Stay policy:
* Three days prior to 6:00 on the day of intended check-in a $25.00 cancellation administration fee is charged.
* If you cancel a reservation within three days of your intended check-in date a cancellation fee equal to your entire stay will be charged. If we can rebook the room your cancellation fee will be refunded.
* If you change your reservation resulting in a reduced stay within three days of your planned arrival date you will be charged for your entire original reservation unless we can rebook your room.
* If you do not show you will be charged for your entire stay. If we can rebook the room the cancellation fee will be refunded.
* Extended stay/whole inn bookings have different cancellation policies. Please contact us via innkeeper@sandhillcranebandb.com or call us at 505-898-2445.
You will receive a copy of our cancellation policy with your reservation. During high season ( the month of October) our cancellation policy varies. Please check with innkeeper.
Check In and Check Out
Our normal Check In hours are 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. We like to personally greet all of our guests. However, there are times outside our normal check in hours when we are not at the inn. We understand that your travel arrangements may not coincide with our normal check in hours. This is not a problem. We are happy to accommodate early or late check ins with advance notice.
Check-out is at 11:00 am. Late departures may be arranged with advance notice if new guests will not be checking in to that room that evening.
Early Departures
No refunds for early departure.
Candles
We regret that the use of candles with an open flame is not allowed anywhere in the inn. This is for the safety and well being of all of our guests.
Smoking
The Sandhill Crane is a non-smoking facility. For the safety and comfort of our guests we regret that we cannot allow smoking anywhere on the grounds. Our timbered ceilings and adobe walls tend to trap smoke making it unpleasant for non-smoking guests. We impose a $250 cleaning fee if we find you have smoked in your room or on the grounds.
Special Diets
We are happy to accommodate special diets with advance notice. Please advise us at the time you make your reservation if you have any special dietary requirements. Advance notice ensures we will have the proper ingredients on hand to provide you with a breakfast that meets your dietary needs.
Children
We welcome children over the age of 8. Younger children are welcome if you have booked the entire inn. However, we do not have cribs or rollaway beds available.
Pets
We do accept well behaved canine pets in the Bosque Suite only. For the comfort of other guests, your four legged family member will not have access to the public areas. There is a $25 per dog per stay pet fee. You will be responsible for cleaning up after your pet and any damage done by your pet. Your pet is not allowed to stay in the room alone if you are not at the inn. Please indicate the breed and age of the dog in the "Notes:" section when making your reservations online.
Our four legged family members are rescued Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Bart and Zoey can usually be found in our quarters hanging out on their favorite couch. Regrettably, they are not available for playdates.
Inn Tours We are happy to provide tours of the inn with advance notice. We will accommodate walk-in tours if guests are not in residence. Rooms are not available for showing if a guest has checked in.
