Corrales offers something for everyone.  Art lovers will find galleries and shops featuring locally made artwork.  Is collecting pottery to enhance your table more to your liking?  Then a visit to Hanselmann's is for you.  We own several pieces here at the inn, purchased because their colors reminded me of a New Mexico sunset. 

History buffs will enjoy a visit to Casa San Ysidro  located in Corrales, or strolling Old Town Albuquerque.  Or, combine history and hiking with a visit to Bandelier National Monument, home of the cliff dwelling Anasazi.

There is so much to do as an easy day trip from the Sandhill Crane.  Check out the Albuquerque online event calendar or the New Mexico Tourism web site for up to date listings of events throughout the state.

New Mexico's famous vistas can be viewed from the Sandia Peak Tramway located just east of Corrales, along the Turquoise Trail or while driving through the Jemez Mountains on the way to Los Alamos.

The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center is a good place to learn about the many Pueblos in the Albuquerque area and a visit to the Petroglyphs National Monument gives you a close up view of ancient cliff drawings.  Museum buffs might want to take in the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History and the Atomic Museum. 

While visiting Santa Fe, a visit to the Georgia O'Keefe Museum, the Palace of the Governors and the Loretto Chapel Museum are a must for fans of art, history, and architecture. 

Galleries featuring work by local artists abound in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Corrales is home to several galleries featuring everything from jewelery to pieces forged from iron.
