This brand new offering will provide you with the tools to feed your family locally grown foods while reducing your carbon footprint.
The experience begins when you check in to the Sandhill Crane and get a good night's sleep. The next morning, you will start your day with a breakfast that incorporates locally grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs (based on availability). After breakfast, we will take a field trip to the Van Riper farm in scenic Corrales. Once at the farm, we will tour the vegetable gardens with Martha and Richard Van Riper as they share their expertise in sustainable agriculture. Finally, after our tour, Martha and Richard provide us with fresh produce that will form the basis of our dinner.
Midday, explore the art galleries of Corrales, walk along the aceqia or relax on the portal at the inn and enjoy the antics of the hummingbirds and roadrunners. Late in the afternoon, you'll take part in the cooking class, preparing and then eating dinner featuring our fresh produce. The menu for the class will vary from week to week depending on what is being harvested at the time.

This special includes two nights in a standard room* at the Sandhill Crane Bed and Breakfast, a gourmet breakfast each morning, and the Farm to Table workshop (which includes dinner on your second night)!
