Are you looking for a unique getaway? Have you always wanted an opportunity to explore your artistic talent? Do you want the best answer to the water cooler question “What did you do this weekend?” We have the perfect answer to all of these questions with our BB & Bronze Adventure!
Here’s your chance to create your very own bronze sculpture! Check into the Sandhill Crane Bed and Breakfast and fall asleep under our soft linens and down comforters to dream of your artistic endeavors. After a gourmet breakfast the next morning you’ll head off to local artist Kate Reightley’s studio here in Corrales (transportation to and from studio on your own). Under Kate’s guidance you will begin by creating your sculpture in wax. The sculpture will then be taken to a foundry to Santa Fe where it will be cast into bronze. Your finished bronze sculpture will either be shipped to you or available for pick-up. Instruction and all supplies are included for a bronze sculpture up tp 5 " in height. Additional finishes or larger pieces may be purchased at the time of the class. Finish up your day exploring our art galleries and dining at one of our fine restaurants here in Corrales or Albuquerque.
This special includes two nights in a standard room* at the Sandhill Crane Bed and Breakfast, a gourmet breakfast each morning, the Wax to Bronze workshop, a light lunch during the workshop, and most importantly, a finished bronze sculpture! Cost of the getaway in a standard room is $303* plus tax (single occupancy**). This special is available on the following dates: January 26, 2008, February 23, 2008, March 22, 2008, April 26, 2008, May 24, 2008 and June 28, 2008. Classes may be arranged for groups of three or more on alternative dates. Space is limited. Class size is limited to six people to ensure personal attention for all.
